11th in the Morning Colo Willett Set out from this Place for Albany; I then Crost the River with S. N. to one Mr heses and from thare I went to Stone arabia to the Widow harkimers whare I Remaind untill Most Night and then set out for home, with my compnion when we got to Mr Jacob Walroth it came on Night and it was Rany Wether Some Concluded to Continue all Night; this Night I Spent very agreeable with Mis R W (7)
12th Got up in the Morning and it Raind But Soon turnd into Snow; the Gentelman of the house Gave us an Inventation to Stay till after Breckfast accordingly we Did after Breckfast we took our Lief; and Come off Still Continued Snowing we Returnd home about one O Clock Past M nothing Meterial hapned

20th I then Set out for Fort hunter with Mr M Van alstine (11) whare we arivd in the Evenin

21th I was in and about the Neighbourhood of Fort hunter untill after Dinner I then set out for the Switserbark Seven Miles From this Place whare I arivd about an hour Sun I had my horse Put out until half an hour after Dark I then Set out again for Fort hunter to a Frolick whar I arivd in about two hours after I Set out the Frolick that I Mentiond whas then Going on I Remaind with them untell twelve O Clock I then waited home upon Mrs [blotted out: P8:56 PM 9/5/2007 & D: M. I had the Pleasure of Spending an agreeble Night with Mis D. M. the Day Plesent
22th I Got up Midling Early and went to Mr Putmans with my Friend whare I Laid myself Down and Sleep untill Eight O Clock I then Got up and took my Breckfast and Came aware the Day was Over Cast and Some Rain I Came to Mrs M Vanalstines about three O Clock Past M. whare I took tea and Set out from thare again at four O Clock I Got to this Place at five nothing Meteriel hapned

May 1th the Day Plesent I then Set out for Fort hunter by a Desire of Colo Willett in Order to try to Precure Some Persons to Vote in favour of Govenor Clinton and Some of the Prinsipal Members to Rapersent in the house of asembly I arivd at the fort just before Sun Set nothing Meteriel hapned in the Evening I went to a Spring frolick about two Miles from the fort whare I Remaind untill after after Midnight I then waighted upon Miss D. M. in Company with Victor Putman(14) and Mis H. G.
2th I took a Ride to jersey Bush to See A. V. H. Sherif (15) of the County I Returnd again to Fort hunter half afternoon the Day Plesent Nothing Meteriel happend this Day
3th Remaind in & about the Neighborhood of Fort hunter Nothing Meteriel happend the Day
was Same Cold & Overcast in the Evening I went to a frolick at Mr J. P. whare I remaind all Night it is Customary in this Part of the Country it is Practiced by Both Old and young they have frequently Spinning frolicks whare thare will be no other Married women and Some of them Very antiant (16)

10th in the Morning I Returnd to the Garrison whare I arivd about Sun Rise; I Remaind in Garrison the Remainder of the Day this Day I Bought a hors from A. R. Lt (20) Nothing Meteriel happend the Rayny I am now under Marching Orders
11 in the afternoon I took a walk with A. R Lt & Doctor M. W. (21) up to Doctor Springlers nothing Meteriel happend the Day Windy and Some Rain; in the Evening my companians Returnd home and I Remaind at the Widow Bellengars all Night with Miss C. B. (22)
12th In the Morning I Returnd to thare before Sun Rise; I then Set out for Fort harkimer with Much with much Reluctence with Capt Pearsees (23) Compeny under my Command and Capt Conners (24) Compeny under the command of Lt A R we Marchd as far as the Indian Casel whare we took Dinner and then Marcht on for the fort whare we arivd at Sun Down Nothing Meteriel hapned the Day windy and Some Rain
13th I was on Cort Martiel in the forenoon in the afternoon I took a walk to fort Daton with J h Lt Returnd to this Place again before Night nothing Meteriel hapned the Day Plesent in the Evening I was at a frolick
14 I Remaind about the Garrison all Day & the two Compinies that Lay at this Post Viz Capt Wrights (25) and Cannons (26) Marcht for Fort Plain Nothing Meteriel hapned the Day Cold and Some Rain

Congress as a flag to the Indian Settelments to hold a Conference of Peace with the Indians: the white men belong to Penselvany and the Indians to the Onida tribe; thay Remaind there all this Day nothing Meteriel hapned the Day Plesent
June th 1 the above flag Set out on thare Intended Business; I then took a walk to Mr Pipers Place about three miles from this in Company with Lieut J R, (30) Mr & Mrs Dudy also Mis P V Returnd again in the afternoon nothing Meteriel hapned

4th I Returnd to the Fort in Company with Miss E C H arivd at the fort about ten O Clock in the Morning Remaind in the Garrison the Remainder Part of the Day nothing Meteriel hapned the Day Plesent; in the Evening the Officers at this Post and my self Maid up a frolick wich was Continud untill Past mid night and then Every one Returnd to there Quarters
5 I then Set out for Albany in Company with Mis J Skinner & Mis E. C. H. But when I arivd at Fort Rasnsleer I rcvd Orders to Return to Fort Harkemeer again in Order to go to Onnindauga with a Party of men nothing Meteriel the Day Plesent - - - -
6th I Remiand in and about the Garrison of fort Ranselier untill after Dinner & then took a Ride with Lt A T to Stone Arabia to see Mr Perries (33) whare I took tea and then Reurnd Back as far as Mr J W and left my Comrad at the former Perreis at the Latter I Continud all night in Company with Miss R W. the Day Rainy nothing Meteriel hapned
7th I Returnd to Fort Ranslier and then Set out with a Party of 22 men Lt Corol Mr White (34)
Mr Johnston (35) and Mr Spenser (36) in Order to go the Onnindauga Cuntry to Sarch for Land the Party under my command arivd at fort harkemer in the Evening the Day Overcast and some Rain nothing Meteriel
8th in the Morning we Set out from Fort harkemer with 23 men and the before mentiond Gentlemen the Day being Rainy so we got no farder then on Old Fort Scuyler 16 Miles From this Place and 19 From Fort Stanwix whare we Lay By and Built up Bark huts for the night the wether then began to Clier up I Orderd a Corpl and three men for Guard Counter Sign Sharp, we then Retird to Rest nothing Meteriel hapned the Day Past - -
9th early in the morning we Set out on our march again it then began to Rain and Continud Raining untill about ten O Clock we Proced on to Orisky wich is nine miles from whare we Staid Over night we then took Brackfast after this we forded the Crick and Proceeded on to Onida Crieck wich is 8 Miles whare we maid a Small hault then Proceeded on to neir Onida wich is 18 Miles whare we arivd before Sun Set the wether was ther Clier and Plesent we Continud all night in an Indian house; nothing Meteriel hapned my Guard as usel; Countersign Lilley when arivd at this Place thare arivd two Indians from Nigara in Order to Interced for some Indians that had Run a way from that to the Enemy: to Return home
10 in the morning it began to Rain and Continud Raining untill about noon wich causd us to Lay Still untill that time we it then clierd of a Little we then Set out at this Place I Left one of my men wich got Lame I the proceed on about seven miles whare one of my sergeants Give out So I Sent one man Back with him again to Onida; we then Proceeded to the Coninnauga Castel 11 miles from Onida whare we maid a small hault here Lay a Butyful flat of Land wich is Ve Good Soil this Place Lays about ten south of Onida Lake; it then began to Rain we then Proceeded on to Sammon Crick whare we continud all night Guard as usul C. S. Laurel nothing Meteriel hapned in this Part of the Cuntry the Meitus (37) is v Very Plenty you Cannot have Rest one minut un Less you have a Smock about you thay are Very Plenty in all Parts of this Cuntry wich Causes it to be Very Disagreeble
11 in the morning Still Continud Raining But we Proceeded on to the halfway Spring 5 miles from this; whare we took Brackfast this Spring for its Curiosities is worth notice it is in a hollow on an Eminence the hollow is about 50 feet in Lenth 30 in Bredth & fifteen in Dept at the Bottom, thare is a Spring of wather Rises up out of the Ground wich is about as thick as a Common Pool and Runs about one Rod and then Enters the Ground again; after we had taken Brackfast we went on to the Onnindauga Rivir about 12 miles farder whare we took Dinner then Crost the Rivir and went on to the Salt Lake Seven Miles from the Rivir whare we arivd at Sun Set and Lay By for all night it then began to Rain and had no huts to Lay in wich maid it Very uncumfortable this night this Evening thare arivd three Indians from Oswago wich had Been Sint to that Place as a flag to Congress; and thay had with them a Boy wich had Been taken Prisoner in the Eighty by the Enemy at Fort Plank (38) he was then seven years of age; I had my guard as usul Counter sign Pink wether Retird to Rest though it was But Porr Quarters in the Rain and Open Air; this Lake is Curus for its Salt Springs wich is within one Rod of it and the Lake of it Self is fresh and the Springs Salt out of one Gallon and half you Can Back one Quart of Good Salt, the Soil at this Cuntry is also Very Good and the Cuntry Plesent
12th Rainy wether we then Set out for Onida again Got Back as far as the Conisonauga whare we Continud all night Guard as usul Countersign Lazy nothing Meteriel hapned
13th in the morning Set out for Onida whare we arivd ten O Clock and Left it again at two whilst we Remaind at this Place thare was Counsil held amongst the Indians Conserning thare Patriot that was with the Enemy and it was Concluded on for about 60 to Returne to thare Place at two O Clock we set out for the Mohock River whare we arivd after Dark and Continud all Night same as usul C Sign Onida nothing Meteriel the Day Plesent the men being a Good deal fetiugd we Put out the Guard and Retird to Rest
14th in the morning Lt Cowl (39) Set out for Fort harkemer with the Party I being a good deal fetigud and my feet Sore I got a Bark Cneugh (40) with two Indians and one white man I went Down the Rivir to Fort harkemer whare I arivd after Dark also the Party after a fetiuging march of 7 Days this Indian Cuntry is Generally of a Good Soil as any Land in the Cuntry also Plesent
15th I Remaind in Garrison untill about 4 O Clock P M I took a Ride to fall hill whare I Spent the night agreeble with Miss P. C. h. the Day Plesent nothing Meteriel
16th in the Morning I Set out again for this Place; the Day Plesent nothing Meteriel

18th I Set out for Fort Plain in Compy with Miss E C H arivd at the fort above an hour Sun; nothing Meteriel the Plesent in the Evening I went to Mrs A Beals whare I Spent the Night in Company with Miss P. C. h;
19th I Set out for Albany with my Companion before Mentioned we Got as far Gileses Six Miles below fort hunter whare I Spent the Night in her Company nothing Meteriel hapned
20th in the Morning we Set out on our journey we arivd at Scnacktiday about 12 O Clock my Companion Remaind at this Place and I Proceeded on to Albany whare I arivd in the Evening
21th Colo Willitt Requested me to Go to Livingston Mannor to Git Some Notes Changd; for hand Money wich I did; I Set out about Eleven O Clock in a Bote with foure men we Got about for teen Miles below Albany; it was then Night and began to Rain we then Lay ly untill the next Morning at Mr Vdesazs
22 I Set out again Got as far as Kinderhook the wind and tide was a hed I Lay by and hird a hors and went on by Land I arivd at the Manner in the Evening the Day Plesent But Warm
23th in the Morning I Returnd again I Got to whare I Left my Bote two hours before night 9:06 PM 9/5/2007arivd I then Set out with the Bot and Continud all Night arivd at Albany at Day Brake the Next Morning

27th I Set out for home the Day Very warm I went on as far as Claverack whare I Continud all night nothing Meteriel
