Located in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, The David Library of the American Revolution houses an extensive collection of documents. Devoted solely to the study of the American Revolution, it houses numerous collections of Revoutionary War Era Manuscripts (primarily on microfim), Doctoral Disertations, and scholarly published works. The New York State Archives houses a wealth of Revolutionary War Era documents. Though it has been long held that all of the contents of the Archives were destroyed in the New York State Library Fire of 1911, the archive's conservationists have been able to preserve large fragements of the charred remenants; many of which are no available on microfilm. Amongst the restored collections is the Public Papers of Governor and US Vice President George Clinton and the Records of the New York State Comptoller's Office. The New York State Historical Association Research Library, houses the Papers of Commissary General of Issues of the United States Charles Stewart which outlines efforts to supply the Continental Army. They also house a collection of the Papers of Assistant Commissary General for the United States Henry Glen of Schenectady and Assistant Quartermaster General Christopher P. Yates of Tryon County amongst many others. "A Guide to New York Historical Resources" provides links to many valuable sources for the serious and novice researcher alike.
